Cold Lamination
Rs.1.00
Cold Lamination is Pressure-based protective lamination without heat. Ideal for heat-sensitive prints and specialty box production.
Cold Lamination is a protective finishing process where a self-adhesive film is applied to printed box surfaces using pressure instead of heat.
In our box manufacturing process, the adhesive-coated lamination film is pressed onto the printed sheet using rollers. Unlike hot lamination, this method does not require heated rollers, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials and specific production conditions.
Cold lamination provides surface protection, improved durability, and enhanced appearance while maintaining material stability.
🔍 How It Works
Box artwork is printed (Digital or Offset).
Self-adhesive lamination film is aligned over the surface.
Pressure rollers bond the film without heat.
Laminated sheets proceed to die-cutting and box conversion.
The adhesive layer permanently bonds to the printed surface.
🎯 Available Finishes
Gloss Cold Lamination
Matte Cold Lamination
🎯 Best For
Heat-sensitive printed materials
Digitally printed sheets
Short-run production
Large format printed sheets
Situations where heat may cause warping
✅ Advantages
No heat exposure (safe for sensitive prints)
Protects against moisture and surface scratches
Maintains dimensional stability
Faster setup in certain production cases
Suitable for short-run or specialty applications
⚠️ Limitations / Considerations
Adhesion strength slightly lower compared to hot lamination
May show minor edge lifting if not applied correctly
Slightly higher material cost in some cases
Not always recommended for very high-volume automated production
📊 Cold vs Hot Lamination (General Guidance)
Standard Premium Box Production → Hot Lamination Preferred
Heat-Sensitive / Digital / Special Applications → Cold Lamination Recommended
